Job Title: 7.5-Tonne Driver
Location: Aldridge, Walsall
Salary: £14.57 per hour
Contract Type: Ongoing
About the Role:
We are currently seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5-tonne driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the condition of the vehicle. The ideal candidate will have experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle and will demonstrate
excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a 7.5-tonne vehicle, ensuring all transport regulations are adhered to.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring the proper securing of items.
- Complete delivery schedules, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including driver logs and delivery confirmations.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent the company positively.
Key Requirements:
- Valid 7.5-tonne driving license (C1 category).
- CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
- Previous experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle preferred.
- A good understanding of road safety regulations.
- Ability to handle goods with care and attention.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Physically fit and able to load/unload goods when necessary.
- Good time-management skills and ability to follow routes efficiently.
