Counterbalance Forklift Driver – Warrington
Location: Warrington
Hourly Rate: £12.50 per hour
Overtime: Paid at time + 1/3
Hours: Minimum 37.5 hours per week – flexibility required
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join a busy and well-established operation in Warrington. This role is essential to the smooth running of our logistics and production areas, ensuring materials are safely and efficiently moved, stored, and delivered as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safe and efficient loading and unloading of pallets, IBCs, stillages, and other materials
- Transporting materials to appropriate storage or production areas
- Wrapping and heat-shrinking pallets to prepare for delivery
- Yard maintenance – keeping areas safe, clean, and well-organised
- Emptying skips and waste bins into designated disposal/recycling zones
- Bailing plastic and cardboard for recycling
- Supporting housekeeping standards across the site, including sweeping and gritting when required
- Manual handling duties as required
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence (essential)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience operating a counterbalance forklift
- Previous experience in a busy manufacturing or logistics environment
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
- Able to assess weights, distances, and spatial awareness confidently
- Flexible and willing to adapt to changing business needs
- Reliable, punctual, and proactive with a strong work ethic
- A team player who is open, honest, and committed to quality
