De-Escalation Officer Nights – Leigh (WN7)
Pay: £169.46 per shift (including holiday pay)
Hours: Various shift patterns available (7pm–7am)
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Location: Chapel St, Leigh
About the Role
Resolve Recruitment Services are proud to be recruiting on behalf of an ambitious anti-poverty and homelessness charity based in Leigh.
We’re looking for De-Escalation Officers to join their dedicated team, working across homelessness projects to create a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for residents and staff alike.
This is a hands-on, people-focused role where you’ll make a genuine difference to those in crisis, using a trauma-informed approach to wellbeing, safety and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the Homelessness Partnerships Manager and team to promote a safe, calm, and welcoming environment
Support residents through de-escalation and wellbeing-focused approaches
Mediate and prevent anti-social behaviour or conflict situations
Greet and support residents, staff, and visitors in a professional, compassionate manner
Ensure safety and security procedures are followed and understood by all
Provide written communication briefs and incident reports as needed
Conduct security checks and manage access to the premises
Maintain site standards through light cleaning and general support
Uphold The Brick’s values of relief, restoration, and reformation in all work
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
Experienced in working with people who have complex needs
Skilled in de-escalation and managing challenging behaviour
Empathetic, reliable, and emotionally resilient
Comfortable working in a busy, dynamic environment
A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
Confident following safeguarding and confidentiality procedures
Desirable:
Experience delivering group support or wellbeing activities
Working knowledge of MS Office 365
Understanding of trauma-informed or psychologically informed practice
