We're Hiring: Deputy Nurse Manager
Location: Horfield, Bristol
Full-Time
Salary: £45,000 - £48,000 per annum
Are you a compassionate and experienced nurse looking to take the next step in your leadership journey? We’re currently recruiting a Deputy Nurse Manager to support our team and help deliver outstanding care.
About the Role:
As Deputy Nurse Manager, you'll work closely with the Nurse Manager to ensure high standards of clinical care, support staff development, and maintain a safe, welcoming environment for residents and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Assessing Care needs
- To work closely with the Home Manager for the upkeep of audits and to contribute to quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with regulations.
- Oversee resident care, ensuring it meets the highest standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals visiting Field House to ensure best care provided to our residents.
- Developing, implementing, and evaluating programmes of care.
- Supervise and provide mentorship, support and guidance to qualified and unqualified staff, via supervisions, appraisals as well as in-house and external training programmes in conjunction with the training manager.
- Designated to take charge of the nursing home in the absence of the Nurse Manager.
- Return to work process and interviews following sickness.
- Participate in interviewing staff members as required.
- Support Managing Director, Nurse Manager, Accounts Manager and Operations Manager in all management discussions/decisions.
- Responsible for planning and monitoring nursing and care duty rotas.
About You:
- Current registration with the NMC
- At least 18 months experience in a managerial role
- Excellent IT skills, confident to learn new systems quickly
- Excellent leadership skills
- A sound understanding of the processes and regulations around running a Nursing Home.
- To be part of an on call rota
