Position: HGV Class 1 Shunter
Location: Magor
Job Type: Temp to Perm (4 on 4 off)

Are you an experienced HGV Class 1 driver looking for a role with variety and responsibility? We’re seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Shunter to join our team. If you have a strong understanding of vehicle maneuvering and yard operations, we want you to be a part of our growing company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shunt and maneuver HGV vehicles within the yard, ensuring safe and efficient parking and positioning.
- Conduct vehicle checks before and after moving trailers to ensure roadworthiness and compliance.
- Work closely with the warehouse and transport teams to ensure smooth loading and unloading operations.
- Ensure that vehicles are parked in designated locations to maintain yard organization.
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures, ensuring safe movement of vehicles at all times.
- Assist with loading and unloading as required to ensure swift turnaround times.
- Manage trailer movements efficiently to ensure a continuous flow of goods in and out of the facility.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving license.
- Previous experience as a shunter or in a similar yard-based role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maneuvering in a busy yard environment.
- Excellent communication and team-working skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and ensure safety in a fast-paced environment.
- A good understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and nights.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle checks and report maintenance needs.
