HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver – Barnsley
Location: Barnsley
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Salary: £29,827.20 – £41,012.40 OTE
Contract Type: Temp to Perm
Holiday: 28 days
Job Description:
We are currently recruiting for experienced HGV Class 2 Refuse Drivers to join a well-established and friendly team in Barnsley.
This is a fantastic opportunity to secure full-time, ongoing work with consistent hours and the potential for a permanent position. You’ll be working as part of a crew, ensuring waste and recycling is collected efficiently and responsibly across the local area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving a Class 2 refuse vehicle on planned collection routes
- Assisting the refuse collection team when required
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any issues
- Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Driver CPC and digital tachograph card
- Previous experience in waste collection or similar is desirable
- A strong work ethic and good team player
