Job Description
HGV Class 1 Driver – Temp to Perm (Night Shift)
Location: Biggleswade
Hours: Mon–Fri | 16:00–19:00 start | 50 hrs/week + overtime at time and a quarter
Position: Trunking
Resolve Recruitment Services are looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join a leading transport company on a temp-to-perm basis. If you’re reliable, professional, and passionate about driving, this could be the perfect next step in your career.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate Class 1 HGVs for trunking and deliveries across multiple locations
Ensure safe, timely deliveries while maintaining excellent service standards
Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and keep vehicles roadworthy
Complete all required paperwork accurately
Follow all safety, road traffic, and company policies
Communicate effectively with the transport team and customers
Adhere to environmental, health & safety, and loading/unloading guidelines
Requirements:
Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) license
CPC qualification
Minimum 1 year Class 1 driving experience
Customer-focused attitude and excellent communication skills
Strong time management and ability to work independently
Commitment to safety and reliability
